I am taking two years to go do my service to humanity and want to know if it will ruin my ability to go to grad school or not. Will going into the peace corps help or hurt me in the long run?

One of my college buddies went to Togo for a Peace Corps stint. She is now doing a PhD at Harvard. That should speak volumes.

I have *NEVER* heard of anybody being at a disadvantage because of joining the Peace Corps.

I know that medical schools look very favorably at Peace Corps experience. Peace Corps experience is especially favorable if your work is in a field related to what you want to study in grad school.
